Proverb 14:6
“A scorner seeketh wisdom, and findeth it not: but knowledge is easy unto him that understandeth.”
WHO IS A SCORNER ?
A scorner is one who despises that which is holy and avoids the company of the noble wise men; he rejects the word of God but yet, in his own vain ways, seeks for wisdom/truth.
When you don’t have Christ nor believe in what He did for you on the cross of Calvary, you will not find wisdom!
You will never know where you are going without the knowledge of God through His Son Jesus Christ.
Proverbs 26: 12 says this–
“Seest thou a man wise in his own conceit? there is more hope of a fool than of him.”
Therefore, if you depend on the wisdom that is in the world, the wisdom that is earthly, you are a fool... but knowledge is easy for those who have accepted that Jesus is the Wisdom of God and the Power of God.
It is easy for them to receive, to understand, and to continue to walk in it.
KNOW THIS:
The scorner does not see by nor through the word of God; So The scorner’s eyes are not enlightened!
Hence she/he does not think right and cannot speak right because the true light of God in His word is not in him!!
The light in him is darkness and he is not able to discern wisdom from above! Don’t follow a scorner!!
That’s what Jesus taught in Matthew 6:23 saying —
"But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!”
So you need to seek knowledge. And to seek knowledge, you must have the foundation of knowledge, which is: “Christ in you, the hope of glory.”
